Duck Hunting

Here at Deadeye Guide Service we offer some of the finest wing shooting of divers and sea ducks the Great Lakes has to provide. All hunts are open water hunts done out of layout boats which is the ultimate way to experience fast paced diver and sea duck hunting! Starting in October we target large numbers of bluebills and redheads and as the migration continues into the end of October and beginning of November canvasbacks, buffleheads, goldeneyes, oldsquaw and scoters mix into our daily bags. Our hunters have the opportunity to bag 15 different species of waterfowl; diving ducks (greater and lesser scaup, redheads, canvasbacks, goldeneyes, buffleheads, ringneck ducks and ruddy ducks) sea ducks (oldsquaw, white wing scoter, surf scoter and common scoter) and mergansers (common merganser, red breasted merganser and hooded merganser).

Our sea duck hunts on Lake Michigan start in November running through the end of the season in early December. They will be some of the most up close and fast paced hunts you will ever experience with many all drake limits of trophy sea ducks. This is one hunt you don't want to miss out on!

You will be gunning out of UFO style layout boats over a spread of 5-10 dozen decoys that will be matching the current species of waterfowl that we are targeting at that point in the migration. We have the ability to run 2 layout boats over our spread of decoys that allows you to share the already exhilarating experience with a friend or family member. With hours of scouting time on and off the water matched with top of the line equipment provides you with lots of in your face gunning on some of the most sought after species of waterfowl this flyway has to offer. Hope to see you in the duck boat this fall!
